American Eagle Gold Coin Specifications
The American Eagle Gold Coin is an official gold bullion coin of the United States of America and is Authorized under the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985, it was first released by the United States Mint in 1986.
All four of the American Gold Eagle Coins sizes have the same design. Those minted between 1986 and 1991 are dated with Roman numerals. After 1992, the U.S. Mint switched the dating of American Gold Eagle bullion coins to Arabic.
